In today’s hectic routine and fast paced lifestyle, it can be tough to find some extra time to get in a full workout regime. But that doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice your health and wellbeing just because you can’t manage enough time for the gym, pool or a jog each day. There are plenty of mobile apps available now that aim to get you in shape and teach you to work out better, eat smarter and live a healthier life. Runtastic is a pretty popular name when it comes to health and fitness apps, and we already know why after seeing their Runtastic Pro, Timer and Altimeter Pro. The developer has recently added another awesome addition to their fitness apps library called Runtastic Six Pack Abs Workout, which lets you learn various techniques for getting that well-defined six pack you always dreamed of having. Available for both iOS and Android, this app guides you through several curls, crunches, twists, leg lifts and more to help you get the perfect abs...
The app carries a myriad of high-quality CGI video tutorials that teach you the core exercises for various workout types that target your abs. The interface is simple and user-friendly, and the app looks fantastic, to say the least.
Getting started with Runtastic Six Pack Abs Workout is pretty straightforward. First, you need to create a new fitness profile, which can be easily done via a Facebook or Google account. Once past that, you need to tell the app about your height, weight, location and birthdate, followed by selecting your favorite trainer between Daniel and Angie.
Runtastic Six Pack Abs Workout facilitates you to choose the most appropriate fitness level that matches your physique. For beginners, a ‘10 days | 35 exercises’ regime will do just fine. The free version of the app only allows you to start from the first of the three available choices. When it comes to workout types, Runtastic Six Pack Abs Workout offers loads of choices including 7-Minute Workout, Insanity, Shape Up, Six Pack Junkie, Tabletop Crunch, Hips drop and more. It also tells you about the time interval between each workout so you may rest a bit before commencing your next exercise.
Another interesting bit is that you can add your music playlist to the app for improved exercise endurance and motivation to your workout plan. You will need to download and install the accompanying Runtastic Music Player app for the purpose. Once ready, just tap ‘Start Training’ at the bottom to see the full video. The video can also be paused during playback in case you need some rest or have to run some short errands.
The app also comes packaged with a bunch of exercise videos with adjustable difficulty and training plans that you can find in the All Exercise Video screen. Swiping from the left edge of the screen reveals the navigation drawer, from where you can quickly access all sections of the app. In addition, you can also add your favorite workout plans under My Workouts for quick access.
The free version is ad support and doesn’t include everything Runtastic Six Pack Abs Workout has on offer; you will need to pay $4.99 for that. Nonetheless, it’s a great addition to the ever-growing line of Runtastic apps, and you can download it via the links provided below.
