The folks over at Redmond have been showing lots of love for Android lately. Just weeks after releasing the innovative Android task automation tool, on{X}, the tech giant, Microsoft, has brought the official My Xbox LIVE client to the Google Play Store. The app lets you access your Xbox LIVE account, edit your avatar and indulge with your XBL mates via messaging right from your Android device. In addition, you may remotely track your achievements, check your LIVE game history, sneak peek into Xbox-related news, check Spotlight feeds and request your friends to reserve a spot for you in your favorite game. The app has a Metro UI, as should be expected, and is quite smooth despite sporting rich graphics.

Quickly Switch Between Multiple Proxy Servers With Proxy Switcher Lite

The Proxy Server can be used as a security tool to monitor & check inbound and outbound internet traffic, and also to gain access to restricted network/internet domains. For instance, if there is a website that cannot be accessed in your country or region, you can access it by routing your internet traffic through a proxy server. When you use a Proxy server, the data you send or receive does not move directly to the target location; it is first sent to the Proxy Server (gateway PC), and then the proxy server accesses the restricted content for you. In order to switch to a new Proxy Server, you need to open the Internet Options dialog box, go to Connections and switch to the required proxy in LAN settings. MIUI’s MiHome Launcher Officially Released For Android 2.3 & 4.0 or Higher

Back in May, we first caught sight of MiHome, the ICS-exclusive standalone homescreen replacement app based on the latest build of MIUI (v4.0). The launcher has been specifically designed for any Android device rocking Ice Cream Sandwich, meaning no luck for Froyo and Gingerbread users. While Froyo users might have to wait a tad longer to get their hands on the launcher, those with Android v2.3.3 or higher on their devices can rejoice, for a Gingerbread-exclusive version of MiHome has just been officially released in the Google Play Store. In fact, if you’re an ICS user, there’s a separate version of said launcher available in the market, too. If you didn’t get a chance to check out MiHome so far, you might be interested to know that the app has plenty of visual goodness and customization on offer. Both the recently released official variants of the launcher sport more or less the same set of features, which we shall look at after the break.
