Official Android & iOS Apps Of Cloud Storage Service Klink Released

The number of cloud storage services out there has been increasing at a really fast pacee over the past few years. While the likes of Dropbox, Box and SugarSync have managed to enhance their reputation by frequently introducing innovative features, there have been numerous other candidates vying to compete in this ever-growing market. Relatively new to the scene, Klink is yet another neatly built cloud storage service that aims to impress with its online data backup, restore and cross-platform syncing capabilities. Currently available for Windows, iOS, Android and web, Klink offers each registered member 2GB of free cloud storage space. Using the service’s mobile apps, you can access your cloud files on any device you own. In addition, you can share files from your cloud both publicly and privately. Klink also offers a unified interface for your photos, videos and documents shared from various devices, and lets you search for content by file name, device type, date added, and folders...
Of all the Klink apps, the Android variant is the latest to emerge on the scene. Available for any device running Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread or higher, the beta build of Klink app for Android offers a polished and uncluttered UI for managing your cloud data...

As with apps of most cloud storage services, Klink first requires you to log in using your Klink account. First time users can register for a new Klink account for free from within the app.

While lacking a few features in comparison to its web counterpart, Klink for Android has the following goodies on offer:

  • List and grid views for content browsing
  • Multiple ways to group and sort your files and folders
  • Batch selection mode for sharing, starring, moving and deleting items
  • Background syncing of data – photos, videos & document files – between mobile and cloud storage
  • Option to sync data over 3G connection
  • Full screen previews of photos
  • Well-crafted sidebar for instantly navigating to your Klink photos, videos, documents and trash contents, as well as data synced from other devices you own.
  • Full screen browsing of photos
  • Option to pause and resume data syncing from the notification shade

Since the app is currently in beta, one can expect it to return a few odd glitches. However, we expect that the upcoming iterations of Klink for Android will bring to it all the features offered by the web app, including new folder creation and universal file uploading support. While Mac users will still have to wait for Klink to head their way, those on other supported platforms can grab their share of Klink by visiting the respective links provided below.
